A client needed thirteen buildings connected by optical fibre within a short delivery window. Our team installed the links and prepared the documentation for the completed network, bringing the work across multiple buildings into one coordinated package.
A 3.5-kilometre installation
The completed scope included 3.5 kilometres of cable and 320 fibre splices. These figures describe the physical scale of the installation: cable routes across the site and the individual fibre connections needed to complete the links.
Installation and documentation
The work was supported by as-built documentation for the constructed network. Recording the installation gave the client a reference for the delivered infrastructure, alongside the physical cable and splice work.
Experience relevant to connected facilities
Connecting several buildings calls for a different approach from wiring a single room. Routes and connections must be considered across the whole site. This project is an example of the team delivering that physical network infrastructure at a multi-building scale. The archive does not specify a network speed or a measured performance improvement, so neither is presented as a project result.
