Description and results

Previous team experience. This work predates the Canadian operations of CL ELECTRIC. Client identity and location are withheld.
The brief for this billiard room was to make several building systems straightforward to operate together. The user needed a simple way to set the room temperature while the controller coordinated the connected equipment.
Coordinated climate control
The project brought heating, air conditioning and supply-and-extract ventilation under coordinated control. A ComfortClick controller was used to implement the automation, allowing the temperature setting to guide the operation of the relevant equipment.
Lighting scenes and curtain control
The same controller was used for lighting and curtain control. Lighting scenes were created, with operation taking account of the selected scene, time of day and outdoor light levels. The archive includes a demonstration of the controls and photographs of the completed room.
A room designed around everyday operation
This was a practical integration task: several systems needed to work together through accessible controls. The documented result was integrated room automation covering climate, lighting and curtains. No energy-saving percentage is claimed; the case focuses on the functions that were implemented.
