Project series: Sports park. This is one component of a wider project, not a separate site.
Information screens and electronic scoreboards served different purposes within a sports park systems project. Our team delivered both as part of a wider programme that also included visitor kiosks, access systems and lighting control.
Visitor information displays
The information-display scope comprised four double-sided screens and three single-sided screens. Installation included mounting, configuration, connection and test-content output. These screens provided a separate display layer from the scoreboards located around the sports areas.
Scoreboards for different courts
The scoreboard package included two units for tennis courts, three units for other racket-sport courts and four units for squash courts. The project used different display formats to suit the intended locations instead of one uniform screen specification throughout.
Hardware and display interfaces
The work combined the physical display installation with interfaces and software modules for information screens and sports scoreboards. Keeping those responsibilities together supported the connection between the installed screens and the systems used to operate them.
Part of one integrated park project
The displays were one component of the sports park installation. Separate articles cover the kiosks, controlled entry and locker systems, and court lighting automation. Those articles describe different aspects of the same facility and the same previous team experience.
More from this project
Clock and session information
The team designed, manufactured and installed the sports clock system. It displayed the current time, the remaining playing-session time and current weather, with audible announcements at the start and end of a session.
